8 PM Elastic (2830 N. Milwaukee, $5 suggested donation)
HZL
Trio of Reductive Algebra
Series Founders

Triage and Elastic are pleased to present the Chicago debut of HZL.
From Philadelphia, PA, HZL is the duo of Jesse Kudler and Tim Albro; Jesse might be a familiar name to some, as he has previously performed solo sets on more than one occasion in Chicago. HZL uses radios, guitars, and electronics to shape drones and sub-aquatic tones; it'll lull you into comfortable bliss on a summer's night. Trio of Reductive Algebra is 2/3 of TV Pow and Philip von Zweck joining together to create some fine battleships of electronic and acoustic flavorings, from the subtle to the overpowering. Series Founders, the trio of Vadim Sprikut, Brian Labycz, and me will open; this will be somewhat of a "dry run" in anticipation of trio situations during an upcoming tour of Japan.

The following days will feature non-commercial sounds by artists from Europe, North America and South America, broadcast intermittently from different parts of Greater Lafayette, always between 9 pm and 12 am. This is an attempt to widen the scope of Lafayette's local radio, which is currently limited to classic rock, top ten pop charts, top ten classical music and plenty of religion.
